The International Ice Hockey Federation has announced the winners of the individual awards and the tournament all-star team after the gold medal game of the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship.
Canadian forward Alexis Lafreniere was honoured as MVP, Best Forward, and a tournament all-star team member. In his second World Juniors, the 18-year-old star of the QMJHL’s Rimouski Oceanic scored 4 goals and 6 assists in just five games en route to the gold medal.
Total attendance was 173,474 spectators making it the second-most visited IIHF World Junior Championship ever in Europe.
