It’s time to chase the dream of a lifetime. NHLers are back at the Olympics for the first time since 2014, and our first Power Rankings for the men’s tournament reflects their presence. Canada – stacked with greats like Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, and Sidney Crosby – leads the way as the traditional favourite. The U.S., Canada’s fierce cross-border rival, starts out in second place, featuring all-stars like Auston Matthews, Quinn Hughes, and Connor Hellebuyck. In third place is Sweden, the only Nordic nation with two Olympic gold medals, loaded with elite names such as Victor Hedman, Erik Karlsson, and Lucas Raymond. Meanwhile, the defending Olympic champion Finns, the Czechs, and the Swiss are eager to shake things up. Let the hockey passion blaze like the Olympic torch!
