IIHF Fantasy Expert’s Day 11 Picks: Reichel Headlines Germany-Focused Lineup

A 36.8-point Day 10 stung — Barkov never broke out, and the Latvians left points on the table. For Day 11, Eki builds around a Germany forward fresh off a hat-trick, a USA goalie he keeps trusting, and a Czech defenceman in a soft draw.

“I scored 36.8 points,” Eki said. The Day 10 captain gamble on Barkov came up empty — Barkov (C) 5 pts, Gudlevskis 11.8, Balcers 9, Smits 4, Granlund 4, Lehtonen 3. Total: 36.8. The Latvians carried what little there was — Gudlevskis and Balcers combined for 20.8 of those points while Finland delivered almost nothing. “But the Latvians really did their part”, Eki conceded. The leaderboard position holds for now; “and in great position still,” he added, with the playoff round only days away and a separate firstplace prize on the line.

Day 11 is a full pivot. Gone are Finland and Latvia. In come Germany, USA, and Czech Republic — three countries, two games, one clear headline. From Germany, three picks. Reichel takes the captaincy up front, alongside fellow forward Samanski. “Reicel and Samanski” is Eki’s German core — two forwards in an attacking German side. Defenseman Seider rounds out the back end. Three slots, one country, one game.

From the USA, the bet is on a mismatch. “I’m picking USA goalie,” Eki said. “USA has been my Achilles Heel but I trust they will turn it around”. Up front, Tkachuk slots in as the American forward. “I think it’s today” things go well for the USA attack. The sixth pick bridges to a third country — Hronek joins on defence. “Czechia is playing Norway but I trust his talent”.

The bigger picture: Day 7’s 67.8, Day 8’s 33.8, Day 9’s 59.5, Day 10’s 36.8 — and the playoffs just around the corner.

5 advices by IIHF Fantasy expert:
• Don’t be afraid to rebuild your lineup strategy from scratch
• Back players who are generating momentum offensively
• Focus on matchups where one team is expected to dominate
• Strong goaltending picks can stabilize your fantasy score
• Mix safe favourites with one or two upside plays

The full Day 11 lineup: GK Woll (USA); DEF Seider (GER), Hronek (CZE); FWD Reichel (GER, C), Samanski (GER), Tkachuk (USA). Three countries, two high-scoring matchups, one captain fresh off a hat-trick.
