Event Regulations
All details regarding our rules and safety guidelines are available in our Event Regulations.

The following items will not be allowed into the arena:

  • Banned items
  • Backpacks, bags (larger than DIN A4, excluding gym bags)
  • Fireworks, sparklers, smoke bombs, other pyrotechnics and Bengal items
  • Liquids in glass bottles, cans, PET and Tetra containers (excluding for medical reasons)
  • Laser pointers
  • Umbrellas, helmets, balaclavas
  • Aerosol cans (excluding for medical reasons)
  • Weapons and objects that can be used as weapons or projectiles as well as other dangerous objects or those objects that security services deem to be dangerous.
  • Flags larger than 2 m x 1.5 m, flags with poles over 1 m (larger flags may be approved on request)
  • Flags of nations not participating in the 2026 IIHF WM
  • Objects, items of clothing and/or other media with political, racist, violent and discriminatory content
  • Drones
  • Any type of disruptive artificial noise generators (instruments may be approved on request)
  • Animals (excluding guide dogs)
  • Professional cameras

To speed up entry, please do not bring any unnecessary items. If you still wish to store your valuables securely, there are lockers available for you on site.

Payment
At the Swiss Life Arena, payment must be made by credit card. We accept all major credit cards (e.g. Visa, Mastercard). Cash payments are not accepted.

Food and Beverage
At the Swiss LIfe Arena, you will find a wide selection of snacks, hot meals, and various beverages.

About the Swiss Life Arena
Spectacle, action, excitement and a great atmosphere: With a capacity of 10’000 spectators for the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, the Swiss Life Arena in Zurich Altstetten is used since October 2022 for high profile sport events, corporate events and sponsors events. It is home to the ZSC Lions.

The Swiss Life Arena is a showcase for energy efficiency. Its large cooling machines are at the centre of an energy concept focused on local, climate-friendly resources. Thanks to its incorporation into the Altstetten and Höngg energy association, the Arena helps to supply around 30,000 households with environmentally friendly heat. The Swiss Life Arena has been awarded the Minergie certificate for its outstanding characteristics in terms of energy efficiency, comfort and climate protection.

The Swiss Life Arena planned by Caruso St John Architects is equipped with state-of-the-art media and event technology.
