As the IIHF integrity campaign “Hold the Line Together” kicked off this past week, the strong engagement on this important topic was felt across the global hockey community, highlighting the shared responsibility to protect and uphold the values that define our sport at a crucial moment in the international calendar.

The IIHF extends its sincere thanks to all Member National Federations who actively supported the initiative and helped amplify key integrity messages throughout the week. Their efforts played a vital role in reinforcing awareness and understanding across all levels of the game.

This focus on integrity is particularly important as the ice hockey community and fans from around the world turn its attention to the Olympic Winter Games, which begin in just a few days’ time. As the sport prepares for its biggest global stage, the IIHF reaffirms that integrity, fair play, and ethical conduct are essential to ensuring trust and credibility in competition.

“Integrity is the foundation of our sport,” said IIHF President Luc Tardif. “It is not something we focus on for just one week each year, but it is a core value that guides everything we do at the IIHF and in our sport. As we head into the Olympic Games, this commitment is more important than ever. From the development seminars to our World Championships, integrity is truly at the heart of our sport.”

While Integrity Week provides a dedicated opportunity to raise awareness, integrity remains a constant presence within the IIHF. It is embedded across competitions, governance, education programs, and development initiatives, ensuring ice hockey continues to grow in a safe, fair, and trustworthy environment worldwide.

The IIHF looks forward to continuing its close cooperation with National Federations and stakeholders to strengthen integrity efforts and safeguard the future of ice hockey. For more information about the IIHF integrity program please go to: IIHF - Integrity or contact integrity@iihf.com.
